Unit Price Instructional Story (Which One is a "Better Buy?")

Cover photo of the unit price instructional story. It has the title and two sample pages from the book.

I purchased a set of task cards about calculating the unit price to see which of two items is a "better" purchase (that is, which item costs less per ounce, for example). I made this instructional story to teach one of my tutoring students about the concept of unit price and also added a calculation sheet that provides a space for students to write their work and also has visual cues and supports for how to solve the problems.

Sample Pages:

Sample page: if you buy 9 muffins, each muffin might cost $1.

Sample page: if you buy only 4 muffins, each muffin might cost $2.

Sample page: calculation sheet.
